Discipline at St. Francis is to be considered an aspect of normal guidance and not a form of punishment. The purpose of discipline is:
a) To provide a classroom conducive to learning
b) To promote character training, that is, to cultivate the virtues that ensure right living and to redirect disorderly tendencies.
Discipline problems are handled by the classroom teacher. Serious or continued problems are handled by the principal. Violation of school guidelines may result in detention, suspension, or in extreme cases, expulsion.
