Winter Wonderland

Grade 2 Have enjoyed their dinosaur topic, we made dinosaur information books and even made our own footprint fossils!
For our winter topic we studied the calendar and wrote seasonal poems and then built our own calendars ready for 2010. We created snowfall in the classroom by cutting beautiful snowflakes. We also constructed a Christmas tree using cut outs of our hands. We made a snowscene frieze around the classroom by creating a watercolour wash and using sponge painting, then finally adding a splash of glitter! We have also been practising hard for our Rudolph performance.
